Library Notes February 25th
The Bible is Gods constant curriculum, and it has no graduation ceremony.
-Paul David Tripp, Do You Believe?
As I’ve continued to reading Do You Believe? I am reminded how important it is to have a cohort of believers (not just The Church as an organism, but a church as an organ in the body of believers). Over the past week the outpouring of love and prayers for my mothers healing has been a beautiful reminder that the constant curriculum without graduation isn’t the scholastic hell one might envision.
If the Bible is like heaven, existence will be cooperative cumulation of knowing God.
We have witnessed already many miracles from the time of our arrive in San Diego. We have been able to share with our families the sex and name of our child to arrive this year. It is a blessing to bring good news. The hospitals head cardiologist has encouraged us in our proposed treatment plan for my mothers condition and her oncology has been successful in identifying critical markers in her genome and pairing her medications with her phenotype.
I have encountered in my time in the Bible miracles that are not preached as miracles on Sunday mornings or taught in schools. Good news delivered. Friends at a feast. Not only walking on water, but a siesta in the storm.
