Totally in support of the praise for Polina's work, though I must say I am waiting for your own genius to see the light of day in the form of whatever book you publish. "Scarcity always seems to have a way to seduce us into believing if we sacrifice ourselves we’ll conquer our desires." Lines like this just keep showing up in your essays that so uniquely capture a mood or a thread worth stopping on the spot to explore.

A beautiful curation this week, friend! I must go back to each of these. I agree with Karena, I really love the reading of the daily Proverb. Connection and wisdom that your little one will gain from sitting at your feet. Y un abrazo. I end my letters in Spanish mostly with un abrazo fuerte. Because you know it’s con sentimiento and I hope you feel it on the page/phone.

And yes Silvio’s epistle this week was beautiful. I didn’t finish it and you’re reminding me I have to revisit it.

I also had been planning on picking up Hidden Genius so thank you for the nudge.

Three more book recommendations to pick up--Ben Hur, Augustus, and Jerome’s Life of Augustus.

I really loved this!

So much goodness. But what I am walking away with is "treasure " - that you are creating a tradition and connection with your son by reading a daily proverb. Wish I was that wise.

Steven! This is so packed with great stuff that I don’t know where to start. The embrace, abbraccio, as we say in Italy (pretty close to abrazo -- no wonder both of our languages are neolatin), is a wonderful concept to qualify abundance. We too, hug longer on average than our english-speaking friends. Nice detail to remark. :) I love everything in this issue, from Beh Hur to Polina’s book (just got it), from the proverbs that you read to your son to your mention of my piece. Thank you so much!

Phenomenal stuff man. There seems to be so much wisdom and power in moving from a lens of scarcity to one of abundance, in all facets of life. Great reflections. Can't wait for the book.

Abrazo sounds wonderful. And I love this bit so much:

Get your arms around abundance, make it feel close, make it feel like a lover that will never leave you. Then you will know your own enough and uncover your own hidden genius.

BRB purchasing Hidden Genius!
